Two men found hiding in attic of Wichita house
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A man who owns an empty house in Wichita notified the police after seeing someone inside earlier this morning.
Police received a call about a break-in at a house on the 400 block in N. Minnesota at around 2:45 am
When they got there, they spoke to the owner, who reported seeing someone in the house.
The officers started searching and found two men in the attic. They arrested Andrew Hastings, 31, and Branden Kennedy, 35, from Wichita.
When the police investigated, they said they found part of the owner’s property in the men’s vehicle.
According to a police press release, Hastings was booked on suspicion of burglary, criminal possession of a gun, criminal property damage and pending arrest warrants. Kennedy was booked on suspicion of burglary and criminal property damage.
The police will take the case to the prosecutor.
