Trash-Hauling Roll-Off Truck Tips, Closes Road Near GWB Through Morning Rush

A garbage truck rolled into Fort Lee overnight, blocking a key road near the George Washington Bridge for nearly five hours.

District firefighters cut out the windshield to rescue the driver after the accident on the “S” turn off Fletcher Avenue just before 4:30 am

He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center by members of the Fort Lee Volunteer Ambulance Corps with injuries that the emergency services said were not life threatening.

The city police also responded.

The trolley on the side of the “S” turns on Lemoine and Fletcher Streets.
