Trash collection delayed on Christmas, New Year’s days; on normal schedule for Christmas Eve, New’s Year Eve in Dearborn | News

Dearborn City buildings are closed on all Christmas and New Years holidays, and garbage collection will be postponed by one day for the Friday district during both weeks of the holiday.

The rubbish and recycling collection takes place as usual on Christmas Eve.

However, the collection will be delayed for a day starting on Christmas Day.

This means that residents with a pickup on Friday will have their rubbish picked up on December 26th.

The collection of garbage and recycling takes place from December 28th, December 31st, i.e. New Year’s Eve.

It will be delayed again on January 1st, New Year’s Day. Trash and recycling for the trash district on Friday will be picked up on January 2nd.

Residents who have questions about garbage or recycling collection should contact the GFL at 844-233-8314.

The Dearborn Administrative Center (DAC) and 19th District Court are closed on December 24th and 25th. Roadside pickups for all Dearborn Public Library branches will be closed December 24-27.

The DAC and the 19th District Court as well as the libraries will be closed on December 31st and January 1st.

Residents are reminded that the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center and Dearborn Ice Skating Center are currently closed and will remain closed until at least January 3rd.
