Township Seeks Bids for Trash Hauling Contract

SANATOGA PA – Lower Pottsgrove is again looking for a company to dispose of its owners’ solid and recycled waste and recycled materials.

In a legal advertisement on Monday (June 22nd, 2020), the community urged bidders to submit their best-cracked numbers in the hopes of serving as a garbage and recyclables truck for at least three years, with options for two individuals, one year extension .

The current freight forwarder is JP Mascaro and Sons of Audubon, who have signed the contract for many years and most recently since 2017. The municipality currently charges customers $ 137.50 per year for same day pickup of trash and recycled goods from the roadside.

Bids are due to be submitted to the community by August 10, and the community board of commissioners has until October 2 to evaluate them and make a decision, or not. As can be seen from the legal notice, the board of directors reserves the right to “reject all suggestions and forego all informalities in the offer”.

Board members approved advertisements for pulling bids during their May 21 meeting. The board has canceled earlier planned plans for a meeting on Thursday (June 25th). Instead, a meeting is planned on July 6th (Monday) at 2199 Buchert Rd.
