Louisville junk company collecting useful supplies for Hurricane Laura

A veteran-owned garbage disposal company in Louisville is helping relieve the people of Louisiana that were hit by Hurricane Laura. “Sgt Junk It” will be raising funds this Sunday. Owner Ronnie Knuckles hopes to collect three truckloads of hygiene and cleaning supplies for those affected by the storm. You can donate anything from diapers to canned goods to toothpaste and more. The charity trolleys will be set up on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm in the Big O Tires on Fegenbush Lane. The drivers will head south next week to hand in the donations. According to the American Red Cross, more than 8,000 homes were badly damaged or destroyed by the storm.
