Delays in brush and bulk trash collection expected for Oak Cliff

Dallas Sanitation Services announced on NextDoor on Wednesday that there is a delay in collection due to increased volume, the impact on the coronavirus and recent holidays. As a result, Oak Cliff residents are expected to experience delays in their monthly collection of brush and bulky waste.

The department said crews are working longer hours to get back on schedule. In the meantime, residents can use the transfer stations or the McCommas Bluff landfill.

Southwest Transfer Station at 4610 S. Westmoreland Road is the closest station to Oak Cliff residents and operates between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Dallas residents are free to charge for cars, station wagons, pickups and trailers that are less than 15 feet long and bring their own trash from their homes to the landfill or transfer point.
