10 Best Mattress Brands Reviewed (2021): Casper, Nectar, and More

If you could do anything about that, what would it be?

I would choose the “Heavier People” Plus mattress with the hardest option available since my last purchase from WinkBed, knowing the pillow pad would be as comfortable as it is. My partner and I are a same-sex male couple and we probably don’t want to admit that we are classified as “heavier people,” but in this case we do.

How does this mattress compare to other mattresses you’ve slept on?

Since these are only available online, I really appreciate the customer journey that WinkBed goes through and compares Soft with Luxury Firm, Firmer and Plus.

Would you buy from this brand of mattresses again?

I would definitely buy from WinkBed again – it’s the most stable option for those who love a firm bed.

What distinguishes this brand of mattresses for you?

Casper is known and trusted; I know people who have tried (and liked) Casper mattresses and enjoyed them myself. Casper was one of the first mattress-in-a-box brands to hit the e-commerce scene, and its longevity gives it a sense of integrity and authority.

What mattress do you have?

The snow mattress that is part of the recently released Casper cooling collection.

What do you love about this mattress?

Casper’s cooling line is designed to help what the company has identified as the main obstacle to a good night’s sleep – overheating. So it developed a new line of layers and foams as part of what Casper calls its Airscape technology. The brand promises a mattress that feels up to six degrees cooler than conventional models. I liked this idea of cooling. It felt fun and different and made me think about my overall bed and mattress comfort.

If you could do anything about that, what would it be?

I think there could have been better branding on the mattress to let people know about the new things related to cooling mattress technology – and if there are ways to actively improve consumers once they are at home.

How does this mattress compare to other mattresses you’ve slept on?

The mattress was extremely comfortable – firm, body-fitting, and had a sense of evenness and stability that was very comforting and calming. Without a doubt, I felt cool – or at least not overheated – on the mattress, although I have to admit that I was sleeping in a fairly cool bedroom at the time. I suspect the mattress would stand the test of time, and I actually felt like the heat was carried away while I slept.

Would you buy from this brand of mattresses again?

I would. The support was solid, the shape a winner, and it definitely felt like my body was cooler than usual and extremely comfortable.
